I graduated to the degree Masters of Management: Strategic Marketing on Thursday 6th July 2017.

It took:

1 supportive and patient husband

1 network of incredible professionals and people I work with

4 super smart Masters Cohort Girlfriends

1 ballet teacher willing to listen to me complain

12 block release modules (including 1x Accounting and Finance Module)

268 pages of thesis (excluding 6 appendices)

100 Saturdays and Sundays of work

253 journal articles and reference documents

36 days of lectures

Countless cups of coffee, bars of Turkish Delight and truncated nights of sleep

And that doesn’t include five months in Milan and Universite Bocconi which I did for added value.

And it was totally worth it.

I was stressed, frustrated, over-whelmed or exhausted at times but I never once felt I hated it and was just trying to get through it.

It’s a nerdy thing to say but you have to care about what you’re studying and see it as a knowledge-gaining journey, not a piece of paper that translates into open doors. You have to do it for your own self.
