Recently, my amazing boss asked me what I wanted to do more of (or new of) this year. I told him that the practice of yoga taught me that sometimes we don’t need a plan or a goal, simply an open heart to surrender to something new and unexpected. That is what happened to me with yoga. I didn’t pursue it, I fell head-first (and head-over-heels) into it. To be a yoga teacher was never on a vision board or a goal list of mine. In fact, my yoga teacher (and teacher teacher :)) Casey reminded me that when I enrolled in Yoga teacher’s training, I didn’t want to teach, I just wanted to go deeper into the practice and philosophy that is yoga. Now I teach twice a week. There are few things as rewarding as watching people transform on and off their mats. If you’re interested in my yoga story, you can read a bit more about it here.
