A quick follow up on some of the questions I’ve been getting on the Less Plastic Series of Lessons. I know that Simple Truth has been around for some time but I discovered a whole range of their eco-friendly cleaning products at Checkers today. While they do come in plastic vessels, these are widely recycled. Their contents are paraben free and friendly to ground water preservation – which is where the less plastic idea comes in; keeping our oceans and drinking water safe and healthy.

I also discovered some plastic-free make-up options on Faithful to Nature here. Many do contain beeswax but as far as the plastic front goes they are a huge improvement on the commercial and drugstore brands we are used to buying. Instead of synthetic ingredients they use plant-based oils from Aloe, Jojoba and Sunflower. I’m trying the Benecos Natural Mascara in dark brown.
